Alley Cat Lounge, East Nashville

So I went to Alley Cats Sunday for brunch and took some friends from out of town. Very interesting place. I would say totally fun with good food and poor service. I mean, it could have been a bad day, or someone didn't show up to work etc, but it was REALLY slow, and we had to request things like 3 times before we ever got them, which was pretty annoying. Imagine eating your meal without anything to drink for 20 mins. etc.
The food was sooooo good though so I will be giving this place another try.
Other things to know:
  • They allow smoking inside, so if you don't digg that it may be a deal breaker for you.
  • Its more of a chill and eat place than a place to go when you are hungry and ready to eat!Hence the name "Lounge"
  • Prices are fair. $40 lunch for 2 with App.
  • You MUST, MUST get the fried Avacado Ball. Its delish and stuffed with salsa and sour cream.

Our Neighborhood has a Soundtrack! Does Yours?

The soundtrack for our hood! "The Other Side" is a 2 disc compilation from several local artists who all donated their songs to benefit The Martha O'Bryan Center which offers employment and education services to people in our community.
For a mere $10 you can get this 2 disc set of jammin folk Music for a cause! They can be purchased at many local places like The Family Wash or The Art Gallery!

Have you visited Urban Decor Lately?

If you drive by Urban Decor and assume its full of overpriced modern furniture, then you are really missing out. It is a very hip, and very reasonable priced store full of neat finds. A few of my recent purchases are: The Guitar Ice sticks and the Home Maintenance Journal!

Go by and see all the neat things they have to offer!
